Social Justice Committee

The primary work of the Social Action Committee is to guide UUFF’s participation in social and political justice activities. The committee:

  • Educates the congregation in areas of national, state, and local social and political concern;
  • Participates in “giving” programs to rectify social injustices;
  • Sponsors and supports groups organized to deal with social problems;
  • Provides opportunities for members and guests to participate in social service and environmental projects;
  • Partners with other UUs and churches to act against social and political injustice; and
  • Gains consensus on and publishes statements locally that represent the congregation’s stance on social and political issues.

    Thanks for Stepping Up! Next Committee Meeting: Jan. 25

    Thank you to everyone who indicated they want to join our committee!

    If you took home Majority Project postcards to write, please return them this Sunday so we can get them mailed out. The strategy is that we mail them out all together for more impact when they are received.

    *SAVE THE DATE* We will hold our next meeting after the service on Sunday, Jan. 25th. We will have lots of planning to do for the 2026 Mid-term elections. We have heard lots of great questions and always welcome your input. Just be willing to help us get the ball rolling on your ideas!
